Job Description:

The Account Manager is learning how to apply professional account management concepts. Under direct supervision, applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve routine issues and customer inquiries. Works on problems of moderate scope and complexity. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Also, developing skills to act as the primary liaison between customers, sales staff, subcontractors, and operations. Sound judgment, tact, discretion, close attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task are essential characteristics. The ability to learn quickly and a willingness to welcome new challenges is indispensable.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project is completed meeting the strict deadline set by the customer.
  • Customer is 100% satisfied with the final installed product.
  • Customer is 100% satisfied with communication and execution of the Account Manager.
  • Project is completed meeting the minimum overall profit margins.
  • Learns how to develop, coordinate, and implement programs and services in support of area technical expertise, which includes identifying customizations requested by the customer and how to translate what the local technician/subcontractor has noted for specific jobs

 

Specific Duties

  • Analyze project plans to locate window treatments.
  • Analyze project costs after completion to ensure minimum profit margins were met.
  • Enters projects for Key Account Manager
  • Utilize Roll-A-Shade CRM to manage all aspects of projects from start to finish.
  • Utilize Roll-A-Shade quoting module to generate pricing based on takeoff reports.
  • Utilize Roll-A-Shade manufacturing software to schedule window treatment production.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to verify stock of raw materials and schedule ordering if necessary.
  • Coordinate with Installation to schedule measure, service and install of local projects.
  • Coordinate with National Subcontractors to schedule measure, service and install of non-local projects.
  • Coordinate with Graphics to proof artwork and schedule printed shade production.
  • Work independently and carry out projects to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Work efficiently under pressure to meet strict construction deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Assists with follow-ups

This position is on-site at our Riverside, California office. 

Job Qualifications:

Required skills and experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge in one or more complex, technical areas of construction, such as sustainability, mechanical engineering, landscape architecture, infrastructure, or other specialty fields.
  • Basic skill in building, maintaining, and nurturing strong professional relationships to achieve short- and long-range program implementation goals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
  • Has satisfactory knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas
  • Expert written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including expert level political acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to perform accurate, detailed work.
  • Ability to organize work, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to extract data from systems and the ability to analyze, validate, and prepare consolidated reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365 applications
